Minor Arcana

The Minor Arcana are the fifty-six. Four suits — Cups, Wands, Swords, Pentacles — each running Ace through Ten plus the four court cards (Page, Knight, Queen, King). Where the Major Arcana speak in archetype and threshold, the Minors speak in detail. They are the texture of a Tuesday: the message you are about to receive, the conversation you have been avoiding, the small win you are about to overlook because you were looking the other way.

A spread of mostly Minors is a forecast, not a fate. It tells you what is in the air this week, what is being asked of you in your relationships, what is sustainable about your current pace, what is being neglected, what is about to bloom. The four suits give you the four registers — feeling (Cups), making (Wands), thinking (Swords), having (Pentacles) — and the reading is the conversation between them.

A note on the Minors: their lightness is also their gift. They are kind. They tell you about today without grandiosity. When a reading is heavy with Majors, the Minors are the breath between. When a reading is light with Minors, the Minors are the whole point — your real life, lived a day at a time.
